Protection of the function of architectsYES
If yes, Where?  Ley de Ordenación de la Edificación – LOE (Building Act). Recourse to the architect is obligatory in the framework of all construction work. More precisely, the intervention of architects is laid down by law. 
Competent authorityFor the Degree, the Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte (Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports). For practising the profession, the Ministerio de Fomento (Ministry of Development) in collaboration with the Consejo Superior de los Colegios de Arquitectos de España (Higher Council of Architects)
Liability and Insurance 3 years and 10 years for the defects that affect the resistance and the stability of the work (counted from acceptance). Recourse to the architect is obligatory in the framework of all construction work. More precisely, the intervention of architects is laid down by law.
• Responsibility for the project: Architect
• Responsibility for the managing of the work: Architect
• Responsibility for the execution of the work: different professional: Technical architect (five year training).
