UNSFA 45th Congress – 23-25 October, Saint-Etienne
The 45th UNFSA Congress will take place on 23, 24 and 25 October 2014 in Saint-Etienne. This event is a highlight of the year for French architects. It is the only event of the year where architects, policy-makers, manufacturers and all stakeholders in the construction chain meet. More information.
5th Zagreb Energy Week (ZEW) – 13 May 2014
The 5th Zagreb Energy Week (ZEW) was held on 13 May 2014. This international event is a key milestone in the activities organised by the Croatian Chamber of Architects (CCA). It aims to raise knowledge and awareness of sustainable development, in order to promote energy saving policies, the implementation of energy efficiency measures, use of renewable energy sources and environmentally friendly fuels. The programme included presentations, roundtables and discussions dedicated to issues of raising professional competitiveness and effective thinking for sustainable development. 14th National Architecture Awards of Turkey
Organised by the Chamber of Architects of Turkey (CAT), the National Architecture Exhibition and the Awards of Turkey are dedicated to Mimar Sinan in commemoration of the 400th anniversary of his death. The Exhibition and Awards Programme rewards biennially works that exemplify universal values which resist time and thus can be associated with the name of “Mimar Sinan”. 209 works were presented during the cycle of 2014 / XIV. Works awarded the “Mimar Sinan Grand Award” and “Awards for Contribution to Architecture” were unveiled in Ankara in April 2014. More information.
Architects' Chamber of Romania (OAR) - Şerban Ţigănaş re-elected as President
Şerban Ţigănaş, was re-elected President of the Architects' Chamber of Romania for a four-year term.
