EVENTS

NEBC Conference:
In 2021, ACE organised with the  New European Bauhaus Collective (NEBC) organised an online conference 'Common Ground: Making the Renovation Wave a Cultural Project’ on 29 April 2021 with over 500 attendees.

Conference on Climate Change & Built Heritage
On 28 October, we held our first hybrid conference 'Climate Change & Built Heritage".

EVENTS
In 2019, ACE organised two web-streamed events Innsbruck Conference Achieving Quality in The Built Environment and Perspectives: the Young Architects' Forum in Barcelona) as well as two other events: an Energy Day during the EU Sustainable Energy Week and an International Conference on Design Competitions organised jointly with the International Union of Architects, at UNESCO, Paris.

Climate Change Exhibition

We created an exhibition to illustrate the solutions that architecture can bring to the challenges posed by climate change. The private view took place at the European Parliament in conjunction with a seminar for MEPs.The later exhibition was shown at the Tour et Taxis building in Brussels and will be available to tour Member Organisations in 2020.

The guide aims to give advice on how to deal with challenges that emerge when a project is to be designed using BIM and provide an example of what can be considered as established practice when working with 3D software and BIM related processes. Read the guide here

ACE study on the Role of Architecture in Building Performance as Defined by the EU Level(s) Scheme
The Architects’ Council of Europe commissioned a study, co-funded by the EU Creative Europe programme, in order to better understand the usefulness and possible impacts of this new scheme on the quality and sustainability of the built environment. Download the report here

Conference: Adaptive Re-Use and Transition of the Built Heritage
In the framework of the European Year of Cultural Heritage (EYCH), the Architects' Council of Europe (ACE) is organising on Friday 23 November in Leeuwarden (The Netherlands) a public conference on Adaptive Re-Use and Transition of the Built Heritage. More info here

ACE Energy Day 2018 - Smart and Smart-er: Architecture and Building Performance
In our data-driven economy, digitalisation and the growing use and demand for data has been transformative. The collection and use of building performance data is still at embryonic stages but is expected to contribute hugely to reducing building operation costs, improving building performance, increasing occupant comfort. Webinar on Level(s): Building Sustainability Performance
The Architects’ Council of Europe, in partnerships with BUILD UP, organised a one-hour webinar on Level(s) on Monday 25 June, from 12h00 to 13h00. Level(s) is a voluntary reporting framework developed by the European Union to improve the sustainability of buildings. Using existing standards, Level(s) provides a common EU approach to the assessment of environmental performance in the built environment. Videos and presentations available here.

BIM IN EUROPE conference organised by the Architects' Council of Europe on 1 December 2017
The ''BIM IN EUROPE'' Conference presented the results of three years of work of the ACE BIM Work Group, together with interventions by the EU BIM Task Group, CEN Committee and BIM users. The event was organised with the support of the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union. For more information check the webpage

Year Education and Practice: The Future Architect - Joint ACE-EAAE Symposium in coordination with CNAPPC The Symposium took place all day on the 6th May 2017 and was dedicated to the relationship of architectural education and the practise of architecture. For more information check the webpage

How to register in another Member State/ Directive 2005/36/EC provides for the mutual recognition of professional qualifications in the European Union. These are the basic steps that you may be required to take should you wish to have your qualification recognised in another country for the purposes of registration or to be allowed to provide services.
