Save the date ! Join us during the New European Bauhaus Festival in Brussels - 9 to 12 June 2022

The Festival of the New European Bauhaus will take place next June 2022 in Brussels, Belgium. Organised by the European Commission, the first edition of this festival will bring together people from all walks of life to debate and shape a sustainable, inclusive, and beautiful future. Ultimately, it will bring the European Green Deal at the heart of our daily lives.

Save the date and join us during the NEB FEstival :

  • FORUM- 9 June at 2.15 PM

The Forum consists of a series of debates building on the key themes of the NEB (on green transition, architecture, R&I, culture, education, regional development, international challenges etc.), ensuring a well-balanced mix of policy discussions and innovative participatory formats. It is designed as a non-conventional space open to different stakeholders, including citizens and activists along with politicians and public authorities.

On Thursday 9 June at 2.15 PM CET, Ruth Schagemann, ACE President will be joining the panel discussion "Standing with Ukraine: How the New European Bauhaus can do its bit" with Sneška Quaedvlieg-Mihailović, Secretary General at Europa Nostra, Hubert Trammer, Architect, Teacher at Lublin University and Oleg Drozdov, Co-founder Ro3kvit, urban coalition for Ukraine, Owner Drozdov&Partners at Kharkiv School of Architecture. Moderation by Alissa de Carbonnel, Director at Europe and Central Asia Program, International Crisis Group.

  • NEB FESTIVAL EVENTS - 11 JUNE from 11am-3pm, Brussels, Belgium

ACE WALK &TALK : CONFRONTING THE NEW EUROPEAN BAUHAUS AND THE REALITY ON THE GROUND

On Saturday 11 June, as part of the New European Bauhaus Festival, the Architects’ Council of Europe, with the support of its Belgian Member Organisations, will organise a "walk & talk", a one-hour-and-a-half guided tour of the Tour & Taxis site (Brussels), followed by a one-hour Policy Debate. The guided tour and the policy debate will aim to discuss challenges raised by the New European Bauhaus in relation to Architecture and Urban Planning, first through concrete examples during the tour, and then from a political perspective during the debate.

  • ECCREDI Open Forum and Council Meeting - 8 June from 10am to 2pm, Brussels, Belgium


The event seeks to give an insight in the ongoing EC initiative related to the New European Bauhaus, activities of ECCREDI and its partners as well as major steps which are being taken to come up with practical solutions on our pathway to achieve a Zero Carbon Construction Industry

  • EU-funded project BIM4EEB:  Round table about Tools for digitalisation, inclusion, and affordability in building renovation 10/06 at 11:00 CET (perspective.brussels, Brussels)

In this short round-table session the panellists will discuss how the digital tools developed by the project can facilitate the inclusion, accessibility and affordability during the building renovation process and how the public and private sectors can benefit from the tools.

  • BIM4EEB presentation and round table - BIMToolkit - 11/06 at 10:15 CET (Gare Maritime, Brussels)

In this event, the project partners will present the BIM Management System (BIMMS), a platform for easy exchange and use of information gathered from different sources throughout the building’s life cycle, and the six tools integrated into it.
