"A new year comes with new inspiration, new perspectives. As architects, it is our duty not only to design buildings, but also to design a better future: a future where our built environment supports and enhances the well-being of individuals and society as a whole. And there is no greater challenge facing our built environment today than climate change.  The green and digital transition opens up new opportunities to design an inclusive and beautiful future.
In the 2023 spotlight, the European Year of Skills, boosting competitiveness, participation and talent. As the ACE Sector Study points out, European architects have already shown and adopted the tools of digitalisation enthusiastically. I look forward to our next conference on the theme of Education and Skills in partnership with the European Association for Architectural Education (EAAE) and invite you to join the conversation in April in Brussels and/or online. This time of the year is also an opportunity to reflect on what has been accomplished with our 2022 retrospective and to thank you all for your support and engagement. It has been a very productive year!
In 2023, ACE will continue its efforts and work to advocate and raise awareness of the value of high quality architecture and architects in many ways.
