Good news! The BIM-SPEED EU project is extending applications deadlines for the EU BIM for Building Renovation Competition!Design an energy-saving building renovation project that applies the BIM tools and methods developed by the BIM-SPEED partners.

In the framework of the EU-funded project SOAR, the call for best practice architectural examples aims to promote and advance the expertise of European architects in Security by Design (SBD) of public spaces, and in particular religious buildings in their urban context. Architectural practices of any size are welcome to join and submit their best built project. The projects can be places of worship of any faith (synagogue, church, mosque, temple etc.), which demonstrate the application of SBD concepts and can be either new constructions or renovations. Deadline for submission: 31 March 2022 (12:00pm CET)

The Cultural-E partners are delighted to invite you to the online workshop on ‘Designing Positive Energy Buildings’ on 16 February 2022 (10-12:00 CET). We will present the 2CAP-Energy Atlas, an online, freely-accessible tool that visualises cultural, climate and policy aspects of the building sector in Europe to guide architects when designing Positive Energy Buildings (PEB). In addition, we will present the design experience of the Italian PEB Demonstration building as part of the Cultural-E project. The workshop is addressed to professionals involved in Positive Energy Building Design (architects, engineers, etc.) and only 20 places are available. To subscribe, please complete this form. ARV kicked-off on 19-20 January. ARV (Norwegian for “legacy” and “heritage”) will develop and scale-up Climate Positive Circular Communities (CPCC). The project consortium has chosen 6 demonstration building complexes in 6 locations around Europe, carefully selected to represent the different European climates and contexts to guarantee the replicability of the ARV outcomes. BUS-GoCircular develops and implements a skills qualification framework on circular construction focusing on multifunctional green roofs, facades and interior elements. The project implements knowledge exchange strategies:
● The “BUS-GoCircular Fundamental Training Pack” designed to enable SMEs to train their staff in a simple, attractive, short and low-cost way.
● The BUS-GoCircular Train-the-trainer programme addresses circular economy, circular construction techniques, digitalisation focus on circularity implementation and transversal skills.
● The BUS-GoCircular Mentoring programme aims to transfer knowledge and best practices from experienced professionals to young people, women and less experienced colleagues.
